These non-traditional exports grew by 12.1% (+$1.491 billion) compared to the same quarter of 2025, achieving their best start to the year.<\/p>\n From a sectoral perspective, mining exports totaled $17.643 billion, up 21.6% (+$3.130 billion) from the same period in 2025. Within this context, lithium carbonate stood out with shipments worth $1.108 billion, experiencing remarkable growth of 147.7% (+$660.4 million).<\/p>\n Conversely, the fruit export sector reported $2.933 billion in exports, a decline of 9.9% compared to the same period in 2025, primarily attributed to lower returns from fresh cherry shipments. In contrast, the food sector performed positively, with exports totaling $3.750 billion, representing a growth of 9.0%.<\/p>\n Similarly, bottled wine shipments reached $286 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 1.8%, while the forest manufacturing sector totaled $1.346 billion in exports, declining by 16.4%, linked to reduced shipments of cellulose, sawn timber, and cardboards.<\/p>\n On the other hand, the chemical manufacturing sector exhibited strong growth, with exports of $2.436 billion, up 35.8%.<\/p>\n Lastly, machinery and equipment exports amounted to $382 million, an increase of 16.8%, driven by higher shipments related to mining activities such as drilling equipment, cranes, and specialized machinery.<\/p>\n Regarding service exports, the report indicates they reached $1.020 billion in the first quarter, with growth of 18.3% (+$158 million), solidifying the sector\u2019s sustained expansion.<\/p>\n During this period, Chile exported services to 109 destinations, with Peru as the primary market, accounting for 27.4% of shipments ($280 million), followed by the United States at 26.9% ($274 million).<\/p>\n In this regard, the Subsecretariat detailed that a total of 5.279 national companies reported exports, up 2.2% compared to the same period in 2025 (+116).
