As the majority of ballots were tallied, the referendum and popular consultation on November 16 in Ecuador resulted in a clear defeat for Daniel Noboa’s government. In all four questions—foreign military bases, political funding, reduction of lawmakers, and Constituent Assembly—the «No» votes emerged overwhelmingly, reflecting a strong citizen defense of national sovereignty.
