Los Peores de Chile, led by Pogo, became synonymous with Chilean punk, emerging from the late 1980s and early 1990s scene.
Since Pogo’s passing, the band has stayed active onstage, and 2025 will bring the re-release of rare footage alongside a special live performance at Centro Arte Alameda.
The date is Friday, October 17 at 8:00 p.m. for the re-release of the documentary El Peor de Chile (2009), which blends a conversation with Pogo and raw footage of the band’s power onstage—and has never before been screened in a movie theater.
The screening also lands amid the 30th anniversary of «Los Peores de Chile» (1994), the band’s first studio album—an essential of Chilean hardcore punk—marked by unmistakable rockabilly flourishes and Pogo’s harmonica.
With a history of pauses and reunions, the past few years have seen Los Peores de Chile very active since their return to the stage in 2009. It was at those reunion shows that directors Pepe Torres and Pepe Bustamante captured the images for the documentary, produced by Kino Torres Films.
The band continued in the years that followed, releasing the acclaimed album «No sabe / No contesta» in 2012 and later the single «No recen» (2019). Sadly, Pogo’s health deteriorated during the pandemic years, and in 2022 Chilean music bid farewell to the band’s leader.
The re-release screening of El Peor de Chile will also be a special chance to see members of Los Peores de Chile step back onstage for a brief live set following the documentary. Tickets are available now on the Passline platform.
